ST. LOUIS - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just a walk. It's a movement to help save lives.Jamie Zografos is proud to be part of this movement. She beat breast cancer eight years ago.“I was 39. I was going in for breast augmentation because that's what you do when you're about to turn 40,” she joked. “I never had a mammogram, so it was my first mammogram that the surgeon wanted me to have before he did any work. “I was like, ‘Yeah, this is silly.’ But after the first mammogram is when they said, 'Yeah, things don't really look how they're supposed to.'”Despite two years of challenges and complications related to surgery, she never ended up needing radiation or chemotherapy. Despite it all, she calls herself early for being diagnosed early in Stage 0. She had to undergo a double mastectomy to avoid anything coming back. Not only did Zografos take part in the walk on Saturday, but the American Cancer Society also nominated her to serve as an ambassador to bring aware...Broncos 4 downs: Kareem Jackson cost himself a lot of money with that shot on Luke Musgrave. And it almost cost Denver the game.

Initial thoughts from Broncos’ 19-17 win over Green Bay in Week 7 at Empower Field:1. K-Jax isn’t just hurting the Broncos. He’s hurting his wallet: You can’t play with your head on a swivel. Or play tentative. But how many times is Kareem Jackson going to cross the line before the league tells him to get lost? The NFL office is going to be taking another chunk out of Jackson’s wallet after his fourth-quarter hit on Green Bay tight end Luke Musgrave near the Packers sideline. The veteran safety’s already been fined four times by the league this season for a total of $89,670. Jackson could be crossing the six-figure barrier after that Musgrave shot. At least.2. Football gods, what did the Broncos do to you?: Nobody said winning a home game would be easy. (Actually, it used to be around here, kids, just ask your parents.) But there were two second-half moments that make you wonder if the football gods have it out for the Orange & Blue. The first...Heroes and Zeros from Broncos’ win over Green Bay Packers: Javonte Williams submits vintage performance

Here are the heroes and zeros from Denver’s 19-17 win to the Packers on Sunday afternoon at Empower Field at Mile High.HeroesJavonte Williams: It might be safe to say that Williams is back. During Denver’s first drive of the second half, the starting running back burst up the field for a 21-yard gain. He also mixed in runs of 15 and 11 yards on a day when he totaled 15 carries for 82 yards and generally looked powerful running the ball.Courtland Sutton: If Denver decides to trade the veteran wideout at the deadline, he put together a solid audition tape against the Packers. He started the game with a 33-yard reception on third-and-8 in the first quarter. Later in the third, quarterback Russell Wilson found Sutton wide open in the end zone for an 18-yard touchdown pass that gave the Broncos a 16-3 lead. Sutton finished the game with six catches for 76 yards while averaging 12.7 yards per reception.Wil Lutz: Denver’s kicker was lights out, hitting all four of his field goal attempts. ...Despite the Israel-Hamas war, U.S. gas prices keep falling

Despite the war between Israel and Hamas raising tensions in the oil-rich Middle East, gasoline prices continue to fall in the United States. As of Sunday, the national average was $3.55 per gallon, five cents lower than a week ago and 31 cents lower than a month ago, according to the American Automobile Association.“While gas prices are falling about a penny a day, that feels like a glacial pace,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “The oil market is watching to see if the war between Israel and Hamas widens, so the price is stuck at a rather elevated price in the mid-$80s per barrel. This, in turn, is slowing the decline in gas prices.” Why do Californians pay so much for gas? California drivers, as always, are paying considerably more.On Sunday, the statewide average was $5.44 per gallon, down 18 cents from a week ago and 33 cents lower than a month ago.Domestic demand for gasoline has been slightly up over the past week while supply edged lower, according to the U.S. Energy I...Women's basketball player from California brutally beaten in Poland
