First-of-its-kind tech in Missouri debuts at Ameristar St. Charles ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The name of the newest store inside Ameristar St. Charles pretty much sums it up. Roll In & Out uses Amazon technology for an effortless, checkout-free experience.“Amazon approached our company about a year ago to see if we might be interested in this technology for some retail opportunities, and we thought our St. Charles property here at Ameristar would be a good place to try this out,” Ward Shaw, Ameristar’s senior vice president and general manager, said.Check out these sensors hanging from the ceiling of the store. It’s Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” technology, and it can accurately determine who took what in any retail environment. There’s a couple of ways to enter the store.“You can literally just scan your card and walk in. What the Amazon technology does is it kind of tracks your blob through the store. You can take things off the shelf, put them back,” Shaw said. “I’ve tested myself by doing a couple of things at once and putting them back, then just walk...

Cuando los astrónomos Samuel G. Reaction to the death of Chicago Bears great Dick Butkus Reaction to the death of Chicago Bears great Dick Butkus:___“Dick was the ultimate Bear, and one of the greatest players in NFL history. He was Chicago’s son. He exuded what our great city is about and, not coincidentally, what George Halas looked for in a player: toughness, smarts, instincts, passion and leadership. He refused to accept anything less than the best from himself, or from his teammates. When we dedicated the George Halas statue at our team headquarters, we asked Dick to speak at the ceremony, because we knew he spoke for Papa Bear. Dick had a gruff manner, and maybe that kept some people from approaching him, but he actually had a soft touch. His legacy of philanthropy included a mission of ridding performance enhancing drugs from sports and promoting heart health. His contributions to the game he loved will live forever and we are grateful he was able to be at our home opener this year to be celebrated one last time by his many fans. We extend our condolences to Hele...

An investigation determined that one of the officers, Wesley Shifflett, fired the fatal shot. Shifflett was fired after the shooting.“We know it’s important,” ...
