The Embassy of Pakistan Brussels organized a Panel discussion about Pakistan’s renowned miniture art at the Chancery on 21 March. The discussion was organized by the Embassy in collaboration with the Red Moon Art Incubator.The event was part of the Pakistan Panorama Series, featuring Pakistani artists, presenting a representative selection of Pakistan’s most interesting and emerging contemporary art to the Belgian audience. The first exhibition of the series took place in December 2022 with the young artist Ms. Mina Arhram. Whereas, the weeklong upcoming exhibition of the Pakistani Miniature paintings by the visiting Pakistani couple will be held from 22nd March to 26 March in Brussels.The lead speakers on the panel included renowned Pakistani Miniature artists, Mr. Shiblee Munir and Ms. Noreen Rashid. SAN JOSE – An officer shot a man who armed himself with a machete and barricaded himself with at least one hostage Wednesday night in San Jose, police said.The hostage barricade incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Boynton Avenue, according to the San Jose Police Department.“Special operations personnel are on scene,” police said in a social media post around 9:40 p.m.In a follow-up post around 11:10 p.m., police said the incident had “resulted into an officer-involved shooting.”The man was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.Additional details about the incident were not immediately available Wednesday night.Units are currently working a hostage barricade involving an adult male armed with a machete in the 900 Block of Boynton Ave. Special operations personnel are on scene. A teenage boy is dead, while another teen was taken to a hospital after a double shooting in Southeast D.C.
