The first of three deadlines has come and gone for college basketball teams across the land. Early-entry candidates for the NBA Draft were required to file paperwork by Sunday and have until May 31 to formally withdraw and return to school.Unofficially, the Pac-12 lost at least 13 players to the pre-draft process, although the attrition was not divided equally. UCLA accounted for five of the 13 departures and Washington State for three more. Meanwhile, six teams didn’t lose any players to the draft.We suspect a few prospects will reverse course and return to college, but which ones? (KRON) -- Big box retail chain Bed Bath & Beyond announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection over the weekend, following nearly a decade of declining sales. The company's 360 stores -- including its nine in the Bay Area -- will remain open for the time being.In the bankruptcy filing, the beleaguered home goods retailer said it anticipates closing all of its stores by June 30. But while the stores may be open for a couple more months, the deadline to use the chain's popular 15% to 20% coupons is much sooner. (BCN) -- Authorities have released the name of 18-year-old man who was fatally shot over the weekend in El Cerrito. Sincere Martin, of Oakland, was identified as the victim of a shooting about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Galvin Drive, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Coroner Division. The shooter fled west on Stockton Avenue from Galvin Drive in a white car. Police are looking for residential and business surveillance footage in the area to try to identify the suspect. (KRON) -- A person was robbed of their Rolex watch and hit in the face with a firearm in a parking garage in downtown Walnut Creek on Friday night, The Walnut Creek Police Department said. Police say the victim was hit in the face with a firearm and robbed of $100,000 in jewelry, including their Rolex. The suspects fled the scene in a gray sedan before police arrived, and the victim was treated for their minor injuries at the scene.
