A San Diego-area military base was put in lockdown after a vehicle went through the facility's main gate without stopping, a military spokesperson said.Naval Base Coronado spokesperson Kevin Dixon told a local TV station that the driver was taken into custody by base guards after the “gate runner” drove without stopping Friday night through the entrance of Naval Air Station North Island, part of Naval Base Coronado. Officers responding to a burglary in Simi Valley on Saturday morning were able to not only apprehend the burglary suspect, but an unrelated squatter in the same building, police said.Officers from the Simi Valley Police Department received a call of a burglary at a Papa John’s Pizza on Tapo Street around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning after a security guard noticed the front window to the store was broken. Authorities arrived on scene and found Sheila Williamson, 61, of Simi Valley inside the business, where she “threw cleaning chemicals throughout the store,” according to officials. Officers located her hiding inside a bathroom and arrested her for burglary. While officers were responding to the burglary investigation, they observed a man, later identified as 52-year-old James Schmidt of Simi Valley, exiting the rear of a nearby vacant business in the same building. One person was killed and two others were seriously injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Antioch, authorities said.The collision happened at around 10:18 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 4 and Lone Tree Way before it turns into A Street, according to the Antioch Police Department.One person, identified as a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the same vehicle were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The people in the other vehicle were not injured and stayed at the scene.One of the vehicles was traveling south on Lone Tree Way when it collided with the other vehicle as it was exiting eastbound State Route 4 and turning north onto Lone Tree Way, police said.The cause of the crash remains under investigation. SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) – A Santa Rosa man was arrested during a traffic stop for driving under the influence and possession of a ghost gun, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.Shortly before midnight, an officer observed multiple vehicle code violations on a car traveling northbound on Mendocino Avenue. The officer conducted a traffic stop and began to smell the odor of alcohol and freshly burnt marijuana coming from the car, police said. A federal judge is giving Oklahoma and nearly a dozen poultry companies, including the world’s largest poultry producer, Tyson Foods, an additional 90 days to reach an agreement on plans to clean a watershed polluted by chicken litter.U.S. District Judge Gregory Frizzell on Friday scheduled a June 16 status conference in Tulsa, saying both sides requested the extension.
