MIAMI (AP) — Luis Arraez hit a tiebreaking pinch-hit single in the seventh inning and the Miami Marlins rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on Saturday. Avisaíl García had two hits and Garrett Hampson homered for the Marlins, who won their fourth straight.Scott McHugh (0-2) relieved Arizona starter Ryne Nelson to start the seventh and allowed García’s leadoff double. García scored on Jean Segura’s one-out RBI single that tied it at 2-2. LONG BEACH, California (AP) — Roger Penske earned his first IMSA sports car victory since partnering with Porsche with a win at the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Mathieu Jaminet won Saturday’s race under caution for Porsche Team Penske when Ricky Taylor of Wayne Taylor Racing crashed trying to pass him for the win. The win for Jaminet and Nick Tandy was the first since Penske launched the program, which dabbled in the World Endurance Championship last season before entering IMSA’s top class this year. UPDATE: SATURDAY 4/15/2023 (BEULAH, Colo.) — According to PCSO, the North Creek Fire is now 10% contained and the mandatory evacuation order has been lifted. Those living in the area are now on pre-evacuation status. PCSO said homeowners will be allowed back to their homes but must show an ID at the traffic-control points to be allowed in."Night operations are expected to begin at about 8 p.m. Crews will remain on scene monitoring the fire through the night. SEATTLE (AP) — A passenger ferry ran aground near Bainbridge Island west of Seattle on Saturday but there were no immediate reports of injuries or contamination, authorities reported. Washington State Ferries, a division of the state Department of Transportation, said via Twitter that the vessel Walla Walla ran aground in Rich Passage at around 4:30 p.m. as it was traveling from the city of Bremerton to Seattle. “Initial indications are the vessel suffered a generator failure,” Washington State Ferries said. A tug boat was dispatched to the scene, and officials were opening an investigation.
